Chomp.

i don't believe in karma; in heaven; in fate; in souls; or in god.
i do believe in rationality; that our world is wrong; that beings should be equal, not separarate; and in you

Once upon a time, in class, I was watching Circle of Friends, and thinking "Holy God, I'm bored. Why do I have to watch this?" (it may surprise you to know that I failed that term). Anyway, others disagreed. There comes a part of the film where (Nancy?) has an unplanned pregnancy, the father refuses to take part (beyond some support to get to England for an abortion), and she runs off to sleep with the first decent guy she finds (who happens to be her best friend Benny's boyfriend) so she can pin it on him. Well, okay, trapping someone into marriage isn't the best thing in the world to do, but by God, is it her fault the social climate decreed she must be married? Anyway, I had a lot of sympathy for her, and again, others disagreed. I probably shouldn't have voiced it as "She's completely trapped. By God, I'd do the same thing in a heartbeat." Had to quickly follow it up by promising a straight friend that no, I would never try to steal her boyfriend :P
Anyway, I don't know why I'm retelling that. JUST FELT LIKE IT.
